Job Summary
The Fabrication job family ensures an environment of continuous improvement exists in the organizations production processes, operating procedures and work flows in order to achieve internal and external customer satisfaction. General areas of responsibility include producing products for OEM partners; developing quality objectives; documenting procedures; implementing and measuring quality measurements; delivering training; and leading the organization through industry quality certification processes.

Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Job Function
Operates forklift during routine duties and maintains excellence of a safety-first culture. Loads/Unloads, receives, inspects, and stages materials, scrap, packaging, metal, and other supplies as needed to maintain production processes. Removes finished products from the production areas ensuring proper identification, banding, and labeling to meet customer specifications. Responsible for replenishing supplies in assigned areas or at the direction of support personnel. Ensures finished goods are properly documented for shipment and/or verifying that received goods are correct in product and count. Ensures operation of equipment by following preventative maintenance policies and procedures and timely reporting of needed changes and repairs. Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet. Ensures materials to be moved are within stated guidelines for forklift capacity. Meet established production standards for the department. Responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly work area. Performs all work in accordance with established safety standards and adheres to all safety policies, rules, regulations, and procedures. Performing other duties or functions as requested by management. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures. Inspects the vehicle for mechanical and safety defects before and after each trip and completes report indicating the vehicles condition. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed through team assist (I E. performing as a material handler when not on assignment as a driver)
Required Skills
Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, work orders, and use various measuring instruments is preferred. Development for these skills provided through in-house training. 1 year of experience as a forklift operator a plus. Must be able to effectively communicate with team members and visually read and comprehend both written instruction and all required work documents. Frequent lifting of 50 lbs and using team lift assist. Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pulling, walking, and standing for the entirety of work shift. Must have communicable range of hearing and sight with or without the use of aids. Requires exposure to a typical fabrication area where environment is affected by outside temperatures and machines. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
