Tank Cleaning Technician at CBSL Transportation Services, Inc.

Job Summary

The Tank Wash Technician is responsible for executing all proper procedures to clean all trailers, tractors, and peripheral equipment, following company standards for quality control and providing the best customer service at the lowest possible cost. This role is accountable for proper completion of all cleaning orders and for personal compliance with all company policies. The Tank Wash Technician will also perform maintenance duties as instructed by the Tank Wash Manager and/or Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

• Clean all equipment (trailers, tractors, and peripheral equipment) to meet company quality standards.
• Clean exterior surfaces of trailers/containers according to company procedures.
• Clean all external valves, pressure relief valves, vacuum relief valves, fittings, hose connections, and hose tubes on the trailer/container.
• Ensure each cleaning order is completed correctly and submitted to the Tank Wash Manager.
• Adhere to safety rules and company policies, including Quality Cleaning Policies, Respirator Policy, and Hazardous Waste Disposal Policy.
• Follow Tank Entry Policy and comply with all other company policies.
• Maintain compliance with DOT, HOS & FMCSA standards as required.
• Support maintenance duties as directed by management.

Job Requirements

• Tank cleaning experience is desired.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must pass a respirator fit test and wear a respirator as part of duties (clean shave).
• Knowledge of DOT, HOS & FMCSA standards.
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs. and handle overhead lifting.
• Physical requirements: frequent standing, bending, and walking; able to withstand weather conditions.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay range: $18.00/hr - $20.00/hr

Sign-On Bonus: Plus $4,000 Sign-On Bonus (subject to program terms; payments made in 6 partial payments).
