Position Summary
The Maintenance Mechanic II is responsible for ensuring manufacturing equipment and the Facility are well-maintained and in good working order. Duties include inspecting, repairing, and maintaining various systems and equipment, as well as performing routine upkeep. May also assist in the installation of new equipment and systems.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions Responsible for diagnosing and repairing manufacturing equipment. Safely perform emergency repairs on production equipment. Disassemble, reassemble, and inspect equipment. Perform preventative maintenance. Effectively document and keep records of repairs and maintenance during shift. Education/Experience
High school diploma or GED required. Knowledge of food and beverage industry, yields, and production processes. 2 years of related manufacturing mechanical experience. Ability to trouble shoot and resolve issues with major beverage equipment centers preferred. 2+ years of related experience in packing/production machines. Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics (e.g., install, troubleshoot, lines, valves, cylinders, etc.) Experience with mechanical systems (e.g., gear boxes, pulleys, chains, belts, sprockets, motors, seals, bearings, etc.) Experience with product manuals (e.g., reading and applying knowledge to make repairs) Experience with pumps (e.g., troubleshooting, replacing seals/motors, understanding specs, etc.) Strong math skills, ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage to draw and interpret bar graphs.
