We are looking for a strong partnership with a dynamic business and leadership team to execute strategic Human Resources accountabilities. The successful candidate will coach, challenge, and elevate the individuals they support. We seek strong HR acumen and a professional who brings tact and creativity to support a fast-paced, evolving environment. You will be supporting US Private Wealth, a leading full-service financial services provider. This is a hybrid role, requiring in-office presence 3-4 times per week.
Overview
The Director & HR Business Partner of US Private Wealth provides advice and counsel to a designated business/group to execute the HR strategy and business/group strategy. Completes specific operational/strategic work to deliver business results and minimize risk.
Responsibilities

Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders for business decisions and implementation of strategic initiatives. Develop an expert understanding of business/group challenges; network with industry contacts for competitive insights and best practices. Consult to or serve on various committees and task forces as needed; provide strategic input into business decisions as a trusted advisor. Make recommendations to senior leaders on strategy and new initiatives based on an in-depth understanding of the business/group. Serve as a subject matter expert on relevant regulations and policies; monitor and address performance indicators. Develop the business case by identifying needs, analyzing options, and assessing ROI; recommend priorities and resource requirements; develop a roadmap for strategic execution. Manage resources and lead the execution of strategic initiatives to deliver on business and financial goals; assist in developing strategic plans. Determine business priorities and the best sequence for execution of business/group strategy. Serve as the prime contact for internal/external stakeholder relationships, including regulators when applicable. Define business requirements for analytics and reporting to ensure data-informed decision making; design and produce regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards. Break down strategic problems, analyze data, and provide insights and recommendations; conduct independent analysis to resolve strategic issues. Lead the development of communication strategies to influence or change behaviour; collaborate cross-functionally to develop consistent communications strategies. Lead change management programs of varying scope, including readiness assessments, planning, execution, evaluation, and sustainment of initiatives. Assess and adapt existing operational programs; develop new capabilities to ensure ongoing success. Plan and control operating expenses; advise on financial management processes as requirements change. Direct the planning and implementation of programs and solutions within service standards; oversee program execution and adapt as needed to ensure quality. Provide thought leadership and coaching on complex people, strategy & business issues; facilitate processes to reach effective resolutions. Complete US governance requirements as identified and follow dual reporting principles where applicable. Provide thoughtful coaching to senior leaders to maximize group skills and create a high-performance, open environment. Develop solutions and recommendations based on business strategy and stakeholder needs; build strong relationships with internal/external stakeholders. May network with industry contacts to gather competitive insights and best practices; support planning and implementation of programs and solutions within SLAs. Operate at a group/enterprise-wide level as a senior specialist resource across the organization; influence how teams work together. Apply expertise and creative thinking to address ambiguous situations and solve complex, interdependent problems; communicate abstract concepts in simple terms. Foster strong networks across teams to achieve business objectives; anticipate trends and implement appropriate changes. Qualifications
Typically 9+ years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Appropriate HR designation (e.g., CHRP, ADR) preferred. Knowledge in HR disciplines Expert. Risk mindset Expert. Systems thinking & agility Expert. $137,000.00 - $238,000.00 Pay Type:
Salaried The above represents BMO Financial Groups pay range and type. Salaries will vary based on location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications; may include a commission structure. For part-time roles, salaries are prorated. For commission roles, the listed salary is the target for the first year. BMOs total compensation may include incentives, bonuses, and other benefits.
