As a Painter Lead you will: Perform surface preparation tasks such as sanding, degreasing, and applying solvents Mask and shield components to prevent overspray and ensure precision during painting Handle loading and unloading of parts onto paint racks with attention to safety protocols Accurately mix paint and primer formulations to meet required finish types (e.g., flat, semi-gloss, gloss) Inspect surfaces to confirm readiness before beginning the painting process Use spray equipment to apply coatings on components of various dimensions and configurations Operate curing ovens, ensuring correct temperature settings and cycle durations Conduct thorough visual checks to verify paint coverage and finish quality Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment, including spray guns and filtration systems Set a positive example by encouraging process improvements and maintaining high quality standards Follow all safety guidelines, company procedures, and quality assurance protocols Keep the workspace clean, orderly, and hazard-free Assist team members by offering direction and helping maintain smooth operations This is a

Shift : Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM

The ideal candidate will have:

5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in a paint shop setting, ideally within aerospace or automotive sectors High level of precision and a strong focus on delivering quality results Skilled in mixing and preparing a variety of paint and primer types Familiarity with interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and job instructions Must be able to pass respiratory fit and pulmonary function testing, if applicable Physically capable of lifting up to 40 pounds Proven leadership abilities, including mentoring and supporting team members Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience working with powder coating systems and tools Understanding of safety, health, and environmental standards related to painting operations Exposure to lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement initiatives Background in supervisory or lead roles within a production environment Competent in using inspection instruments to assess coating thickness and finish quality

Pay Rate: $25-$27 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
