Primary Responsibilities:
Assemble production tools using hydraulic and electrical blueprints as well as verbal instructions
Handle, disassemble, clean, and reassemble mechanical and electrical assemblies
Generate parts lists from blueprints and conduct parts inventory
Terminate wires in electrical boxes and perform point-to-point wiring across 12V, 460V, and 600V systems
Conduct equipment function checks and hydraulic testing
Set up and test subassemblies to specification
Collaborate with project planners to resolve issues related to production parts or blueprints
Troubleshoot and repair production tools as needed
Perform all assignments in compliance with written procedures and NOV's quality policy
Operate forklifts, bridge cranes, man lifts, and scissor lifts safely
Maintain shop housekeeping according to 6S standards
Participate in and lead continuous improvement initiatives
Perform additional work-related tasks as required
Comply with NOV Company and HSE procedures and policies
Education & Experience Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years' experience in heavy equipment assembly or maintenance, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Hands-on experience with the assembly of hydraulic and electrical components and systems
Technical education, product knowledge, or relevant industry experience is desirable
Job Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
Proficiency in installing, inspecting, maintaining, operating, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic equipment
Ability to accurately complete all required documentation related to assigned duties
Technical Competencies:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Oil and Gas industry technical knowledge (desirable)
Knowledge of 6S organizational and standardization practices
