ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a CBRE HVAC Building Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining medium to large-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function and is responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repair on HVAC/R, mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.

Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.

Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.

Assign work orders and estimate the time and materials needed to complete repairs.

Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.

Inspect new installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.

Have some knowledge of standard principles with limited practical experience in applying them.

Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.

Impact the quality of own work.

Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Minimum of four (4) years of related experience (building/engineering operations)

HVAC, Refrigeration, and Air conditioning systems experience

Commercial/Industrial experience preferred

Proficient computer skills/Microsoft Office

EPA Universal required

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES

Certification in two or more of the following: Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC and Refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair as well as CFC Certification.

OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES

Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.

Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.

Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
