Alarm Systems Technician - Fire | Field Service Role
Location: Topeka KS Employment Type: Full-Time Industry: Fire Protection, Life Safety Hours: 8-5 with OT opportunity Pay: $30/hour+ Based on Experience, Company Vehicle and Tools provided
Are you a hands-on technician with a passion for life safety systems? Join a leading fire and security service provider as an Alarm Systems Technician, where you'll play a critical role in protecting lives and property through expert installation, maintenance, and support of alarm systems.
What You'll Do: Install & Configure:
Fire alarms, burglar alarms, and integrated life safety systems to meet NFPA standards and client specs. Maintain & Inspect:
Perform routine service checks and ensure systems are code-compliant and fully operational. Troubleshoot & Repair:
Diagnose system faults, replace components, and restore functionality with minimal downtime. Support Clients:
Deliver on-site technical support, respond to emergency service calls, and advise on system upgrades. Document Everything : Keep detailed service logs, installation records, and maintenance reports for compliance and billing. Educate & Serve:
Train clients on system use and safety protocols while delivering top-tier customer service. What You Bring:
Proven experience with fire alarm systems, intrusion detection, or low-voltage electronics. Strong understanding of NFPA codes, safety standards, and industry best practices. Ability to work independently in the field and communicate effectively with clients. NICET certifications are a plus, but not required. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Why Join?
