A well-established produce grower/shipper/packer is searching for a Director of Spray Operations to join their team. The Director of Spray Operations will be responsible for leading the spray operations division managing a 12Million+ budget. The division coordinates over 100 pieces of field equipment for the safe application of pesticides/herbicides.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Create and maintain a safe working environment. Create and maintain a fair and equitable working environment that promotes based upon safety, performance, job knowledge, and the desire to improve. Determine short- and long-term needs of farming divisions, Ranch Managers and Pest Control Advisors.

Communicate and execute spray needs with Spray Managers including appropriate timing of pesticide, chemical, or herbicide applications. Responsible for managing and maintaining operational budgets. Responsible for information on spray practices including pesticide usage, chemical application reporting, equipment usage, labor reporting and operational reports.

Ensures appropriate equipment including tractors and spray equipment are available. Assures the environmental conditions are within compliance for application of chemicals. Assures all laws are being followed as outlined on the chemical labels and incorporate all new laws and regulations into the operation. Ensure all quality control programs are being implemented. Coordinate with researchers for specialized applications. Qualifications:

High School Diploma/ GED and 5+ years' AG experience, field management or equivalent combination education and experience. Bachelor's degree preferred. At least 20K acres+ experience.

SPECIFIC KNOWELDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS: Qualified Applicators License (QAL) required or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire. Strong understanding of the different applications for pesticides and herbicides. Experience managing multiple crews and locations. Strong project management, time management, and organizational skills. Bilingual English/ Spanish preferred

Compensation: 115-140K+ DOE, Bonus, Medical Benefits, 401K, Relocation Assistance.
