License: Active RN license in the state Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
Must-Have: - BLS - ACLS - PALS - TNCC
Description: Emergency Department consists of 24 beds and 5 fast track beds. Staffing is shift dependent. During the day shift, there is one charge nurse and 4 to 9 nurses depending on the time of day. Staff is adjusted based on patient volume and arrival patterns. The team also includes techs and paramedics. On night shifts, there is one charge nurse and 9 to 4 nurses, varying with the time of day and arrival patterns. Techs and paramedics are utilized as well. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 4:1. The electronic medical record system in use is Meditech. Shift times are variable with multiple start times available. Skills most sought after include critical thinking and a hardworking attitude. Strong interpersonal skills are important for a successful candidate. Floating to other areas is not required. The dress code consists of navy scrubs. Weekend shifts may be required every other weekend, but there is no on-call obligation. There are three positions available for this role.
