JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Nursing (DON) is responsible for providing quality nursing care in conformance with recognized nursing techniques, procedures, and established standards based on the scope of nursing practice. This professional empowers the team of licensed nurses and nursing assistants to provide quality services to our residents.

Job responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Implementing the Nursing Service Program

Implements regulations pertaining to Nursing Services

Develops and Implements a staffing plan

Works as a team member with other managers to Coordinate care for residents

Provides clinical guidance and supervision to RNs, LPNs and Certified Nursing Assistants caring for residents in our 24 bed Nursing Facility and 24 bed Assisted Living Facility

Ensure excellent communication among residents, families, and staff.

Create positive resident outcomes.

Respect others by treating them the way we want to be treated.

Demonstrate kindness, compassion, honesty, and integrity at all times.

Help create a culture of superior customer service.

REQUIREMENTS

Registered Nurse licensed in the State of North Carolina.

Two years supervisory experience

Excellent Communication skills
