RegulatoryCompliance
The department acts as the liaison between the FAA and Delta, facilitating regulatory approval for new routes, Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) app updates, and much more. We work with many departments within Flight Operations, as well as Network Planning, Legal, Tech Ops, and many more to support Delta's global operation.
Within the department, the Co-Op team works with the Manager and 2 Program Managers. Our portfolio is very broad as we routinely work with other business units in Flight Operations as well as Delta corporate divisions and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Our routine Flight Operations partners include the Fleet Teams (pilots supporting fleets of aircraft with training, standards, manuals, etc.), Chief Pilot Offices (pilots and staff that support pilot bases), Technical Pilots (pilots that work on aircraft and airspace updates/changes), Legal (country permits), Navigation Services (charting and databases), Flight Control (dispatchers and routing), Airport Customer Service, Inflight Service, Network, TechOps Quality, TechOps Engineering, and more.
Co-Op JobSummary
The Co-op will work at Delta's WorldHeadquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. This is a paid position, including additional privileges such asstandby travel anywhere in the Delta
The team currently operates on a partiallyhybrid schedule (i.e., in-person, on campus for 4 days a week and one day as potential virtual).
JobResponsibilities
Support the Program Managers as we attempt toimprove the quality and throughput of our processes
Support the Delta Legal team with permits, newcountry/destination filings, and whatever issues may arise in foreign countries
Design and implement process improvements thatsupport the Quality team in Flight Operations including SMS and Quality Audits
Expect more autonomy and a capstone project thatbenefits Flight Ops with a focus on automation and cross-functional efforts

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
Working as a Co-op does not guarantee a full-time opportunity upon graduation. This position is intended to provide you with educational and professional work experience to prepare you for the workforce.
This position requires you to work for 3 alternating semesters. You cannot actively take any courses (inclusive of online or in-person) and work as a Co-op at the same time, which may delay your graduation by 1-2 semesters.
Students must be able to complete 3 alternating rotations in Atlanta, GA in line with the below schedule:
Summer 2026 - 1st rotation
Spring 2027 - 2nd rotation
Fall 2027 - 3rd rotation
Pursuing an undergraduate degree inAviation Management or a similar degree program with applicable skills
Strong attention to detail in your work
Team player that fosters trust, opendialogue, and healthy debate with coworkers
Strong interpersonal skills and servantleadership required to promote intentional relationships with coworkers andpartners outside the company
Preferably a rising Sophomore or risingJunior, as you are required to work 3 terms
Strong organizational and time managementskills required
Internally motivated, curious, ready tolearn, and eager to make an impact
Ability to work under tight deadlines andtime constraints while being able to manage and prioritize multiple projectrequests at the same time
Flight experience is a plus
Experience with SMS and safety programsis a plus
Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data
Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States
