HR Business Partner / Labor Relations Representative

Our team is seeking a Human Resources (HR) professional to serve as a dual-hat HR Business Partner and Labor Relations Representative within the Rotary Mission Systems (RMS) Operations function, specifically supporting one of Sikorsky's Product Centers in Stratford, CT. The role supports an Operations Director with anywhere from 350-500 hourly represented and salaried clients. The work: As a trusted advisor, the HR professional will positively influence and impact the organization by building solid relationships and offering innovative solutions. You will partner closely with business leaders at all levels, HR leadership and peers, and employees throughout the organization to ensure talent capabilities drive and support business objectives. The ideal candidate will thrive in a changing environment and be comfortable in ambiguous situations, recognizing when it's appropriate to introduce more structure and processes without derailing the current output. They will also be familiar with operating in a represented environment and use this experience to help administer the site's collective bargaining agreement and provide Labor Relations guidance to leaders of union employees. The Human Resources professional will be responsible for the following: Understanding the business and its dynamics to help address the organization and people's needs. Assisting with the culture change and evolution process as the business meets the challenges of growth. Collaborating with other HR colleagues and Centers of Excellence to ensure alignment and create a strong, cross-functional team. Escalating HR issues through to resolution while maintaining communication with all affected stakeholders. Delivering seamless client support by leveraging HR and Labor Relations programs, policies, processes, and systems. Assisting in aligning HR and Labor Relations strategy with business priorities to drive results. Improving manager capabilities through coaching and implementation of development programs and opportunities. Coach and train leaders on how to effectively manage employees in a union environment. Administer the Company's collective bargaining agreement and represent management in grievance meetings with union representatives. Address employee relations issues and partner with investigatory functions (Security, Ethics, etc.) as required to conduct thorough investigations. Advise management on disciplinary matters, in accordance with HR policies, collective bargaining agreements, and applicable legislation. Execute project work as assigned, including projects and assignments in support of Sikorsky HR Operations and Sikorsky Labor Relations. Desired skills: Experience working in a complex, matrix organization as well as: Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work at all levels of HR and Labor Relations strategic, operational, and tactical. Experience in a high-growth, fast-paced environment with competing priorities with the ability to coach, mentor and support the workforce in such an environment. Track record of developing effective relationships across all levels of the organization and with diverse client groups. Strong stakeholder management with the ability to influence different areas of the organization and drive accountability at all levels. Critical thinker with success in developing innovative solutions to business issues. Experience in an evolving business environment, which includes advancing cultural imperatives. Familiarity with represented environments, collective bargaining agreements, and grievance procedures. Strong business acumen. Experience supporting executive-level clients. Ability to work remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process. Work schedule: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week. Pay rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $77,700 - $136,965. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible. Pay rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $89,300 - $154,905.
