Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced
Registered Nurse (RN)
to join the
Medical Surgical – Renal Unit (5th Floor)
at
MUSC Health - Florence . The ideal candidate will have experience caring for adult and geriatric patients with renal and general med/surg needs. This is a night shift position with a patient ratio of
1:6-7 , every other weekend required. Candidates must be comfortable floating to other med/surg units as needed. Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care to adults and geriatric populations. Monitor and manage patients with renal conditions and general med/surg diagnoses. Start and maintain IVs; perform IV therapy and phlebotomy. Respond to rapid response and code team activations. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (IV, PT, Respiratory, Pharmacy, Social Services, etc.). Document accurately in
Epic
(charting system). Float within scope to other med/surg units as needed. Required Qualifications
License:
Active
South Carolina RN License
or
Compact License
(must be in hand before start). Experience:
Minimum
1 year
of recent Med/Surg RN experience. Certifications:
BLS (Basic Life Support). Patient Ratios Experience:
1:6–7. First-time Travelers:
