Your Hearing Dog Inc
Your Hearing Dog Inc's mission is to supply specially trained service dogs to the deaf and hard-of-hearing community, as well as veterans with the same challenges. YHD is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers to join our Fundraising Committee. This committee plays a vital role in securing the financial resources necessary to support our mission. As a volunteer, you will contribute to our mission by actively participating in fundraising initiatives, building relationships with donors, and promoting our organization.
Responsibilities:
Event Planning and Execution:
Assist in planning and organizing fundraising events, such as galas, auctions, and charity runs. Volunteer at events to greet guests, sell tickets, and manage logistics. Help with event setup, breakdown, and cleanup.
Donor Relations:
Research and identify potential donors and sponsors. Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing donors. Send thank-you notes and other correspondence to donors. Assist with donor recognition events and programs.
Solicitation and Stewardship:
Help with solicitation efforts, including phone calls, emails, and direct mail. Prepare and submit grant proposals. Track donor contributions and maintain accurate records.
Marketing and Promotion:
Create promotional materials, such as flyers, posters, and social media posts. Assist with marketing campaigns to increase awareness of fundraising initiatives. Utilize social media to engage with donors and potential supporters.
Qualifications: Passion for the organization's mission Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Time Commitment: The time commitment for this volunteer role is flexible and can be tailored to your availability.
