Sequoia Home Health is growing and looking for experienced, compassionate Home Health Aide (HHA) to join our team!

JOB DESCRIPTION

A Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) is a member of the interdisciplinary team and works under the supervision of a registered nurse performing various personal care services as necessary to meet the patient's needs. Home health aides are responsible for observing patients, reporting these observations and documenting observations and care performed. The home health aide will be assigned in a manner that promotes quality, continuity and safety of a patient's care, and only after successful completion of a competency evaluation program.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide personal care including:

Baths Back rubs Oral hygiene Shampoos Changing bed linen

Assist patients with dressing and undressing Perform nail and skin care to prevent breakdown Assist the patient with toileting activities Keep patient's living area clean and orderly Plan and prepare nutritious meals Assist in feeding the patient Take and record oral, rectal and axillary temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure when ordered Assist in ambulation and exercise according to the plan of care Perform range of motion and other simple procedures as an extensional therapy service as ordered Assist patient in the self-administration of medication Do patient's laundry Meet safety needs of patients and using equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, etc.) Report on patient's condition and significant changes to the assigned nurse Adhere to the Organization's documentation and care procedures and standards of personal and professional conduct Attend 12 clock hours of in-service training annually during a 12-month period Attend scheduled Case Conference meetings to discuss patients in which you are involved in JOB REQUIREMENTS

Active Home Health Aide Certification through the CA Dept of Public Health At least 18 years of age Ability to work with little direct supervision Empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail and the impaired Possess and maintains current CPR certification Licensed driver with automobile that is insured in accordance with Organization requirements and is in good working order Ability to perform prolonged or considerable walking or standing Ability to lift, position, or transfer patients Ability to lift supplies and equipment Ability to reach, stoop, bend, kneel, or crouch

PAY RANGE: $20.00 - $28.00/hr
