Cost Project Control Specialist II
to join the project execution team. This role will support the development, monitoring, and control of project budgets and costs, focusing on cost management processes such as budgeting, commitments, change management, and forecasting. The ideal candidate will be
detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to grow their expertise in project cost control
while working in a fast-paced environment. \n Day-to-Day Responsibilities: \n

Budget Development & Management: \n
\n
Recast project estimates into structured budgets aligned with project scope, schedule, and resources.
\n
Maintain accurate budget documentation and update cost tracking systems.
\n \n
Commitment Execution & Management: \n
\n
Support execution of purchase orders, contracts, and subcontractor agreements.
\n
Track commitments against budget limits and project goals, flagging discrepancies or potential overruns.
\n \n
Change Management: \n
\n
Assist with identifying/documenting scope changes impacting project costs.
\n
Support cost impact evaluations for change orders and update budgets/forecasts accordingly.
\n \n
Forecasting & EAC (Estimate at Completion): \n
\n
Contribute to forecasts by analyzing expenditures, progress, and historical data.
\n
Assist with calculating EAC and preparing variance reports with recommendations.
\n \n
Reporting & Analysis: \n
\n
Prepare cost reports, dashboards, and summaries for project stakeholders.
\n
Analyze trends and highlight cost risks or optimization opportunities.
\n \n
Collaboration & Support: \n
\n
Partner with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure accuracy of cost data.
\n
Support audits and compliance checks.
\n \n
\n Requirements: \n Must-Haves: \n
\n
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, engineering, or related field.
\n
2-5 years of experience in cost control, project management, or related discipline.
\n
Proficiency in
Microsoft Excel ; familiarity with cost management software (Primavera, Procore, etc.) is a plus.
\n
Analytical/problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
\n
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and communicate effectively.
\n
\n Nice-to-Haves: \n
\n
Familiarity with
Earned Value Management (EVM)
concepts. \n
Knowledge of cost estimating, budgeting, and forecasting techniques. \n
Experience with change management processes and impact on costs. \n
