Job Summary

: We are seeking a

Data Visualization Engineer

with an

active Secret clearance

to design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and data visualizations that support mission-critical decision-making. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in modern BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik) and have a strong grasp of data modeling, storytelling, and presenting complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences. This role will work closely with analysts, data engineers, and leadership to transform raw data into actionable insights. As with any position, additional expectations exist. Some of these are, but are not limited to, adhering to normal working hours, meeting deadlines, following company policies as outlined by the Employee Handbook, communicating regularly with assigned supervisor(s), and staying focused on the assigned tasks including company meetings, and completing other tasks as assigned. Responsibilities: Design and build

interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations

using tools such as

Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik Gather requirements and work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and data goals Clean, transform, and model data for visualization and decision-making Optimize dashboard performance and ensure data integrity and accuracy Translate complex datasets into

clear, compelling, and actionable visual stories Support data governance, metadata management, and documentation efforts Ensure compliance with federal data policies, classification, and security protocols Collaborate with developers, analysts, and security personnel to ensure secure and scalable data solutions Basic Qualifications: Active Secret clearance

(must be verifiable at time of hire) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field 3-5+ years of professional experience in

data visualization or BI development Proficiency with one or more visualization tools (e.g.,

Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, D3.js ) Strong SQL skills and understanding of data querying and transformation Experience working with

relational databases, APIs, or data warehouses Understanding of data security and access controls in secure environments Excellent communication skills and ability to present data to non-technical audiences Must be a U.S. Citizen If applicable: If you are or have been recently employed by the U.S. government, a post-employment ethics letter will be required if employment with VSolvit is offered Preferred Qualifications

: Experience supporting

DoD, federal government, or intelligence community

projects Familiarity with

cloud platforms

(e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) Knowledge of

data storytelling ,

UI/UX best practices , or

human-centered design Certifications such as

Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate ,

Tableau Desktop Specialist ,

Security+ , or

Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) C
