We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with 5+ years of experience to drive the development of a platform for pediatric home health services. You will lead technical design, manage key features, and ensure secure, scalable solutions, while working closely with a small, agile team to deliver high-quality results. Responsibilities
Lead the development of key features and ensure the platform's performance, scalability, and security Design and implement secure, efficient APIs to support seamless communication and data flow Optimize database performance and ensure compliance with healthcare data standards Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on technical and business requirements Manage deployment pipelines, ensure CI/CD best practices, and maintain system health through proactive monitoring Stay updated with the latest developments in PHP, Laravel, AWS, and healthcare technology Requirements
Extensive experience with PHP frameworks, particularly Laravel, focusing on modern development practices and keeping frameworks and dependencies up-to-date Strong skills in optimizing database performance, including query optimization and indexing, especially in healthcare applications Expertise in designing and implementing secure RESTful APIs, employing authentication standards such as OAuth 2.0 Familiarity with architectural patterns including MVC, microservices, event-driven architecture, and separation of concerns to ensure safe and maintainable code CI/CD and Monitoring Skills Understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment processes, with experience in automating testing and deployment of applications Knowledge of Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools for identifying performance bottlenecks and maintaining system health. Core Infrastructure Skills Solid experience in deploying, managing, and scaling applications using AWS services such as EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, and CloudFront Proficient in managing cloud-based architectures, including EC2 instance setup, load balancing, and auto-scaling configurations Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) for efficient application deployment and management Nice to have
Proficiency in integrating third-party APIs, such as electronic medical record (EMR) systems, Google Geocoding API, Twilio, Snowflake, Jobvite, etc. Awareness of regulatory standards impacting technology in healthcare, such as HIPAA compliance Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and business stakeholders Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex technical challenges and enhance application performance What we offer
