Job Title: Senior BMC Helix Consultant
Type of hire: 6+ Months
Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid)
THIS IS A JOB DESCRIPTION FOR A TEMPORARY POSITION: This position prefers that support be performed on-site. Remote candidates will be considered only if available to be on-site in the first week and periodically, with advanced notice.
Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior BMC Helix Consultant to support the design, development, and maintenance of our enterprise ITSM solutions. This temporary role is ideal for a seasoned professional with deep expertise in BMC Helix Digital Workplace, Business Workflows, Innovation Studio, ITSM, and Remedy AR System. This is a key role in enhancing our service management capabilities, supporting integrations, and ensuring the stability and performance of our BMC Helix environment.
Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain BMC Remedy workflows, forms, reports, dashboards, Developer Studio, Innovation Suite, and DWP Catalog. • Develop and maintain BMC Helix Business Workflows and Digital Workplace solutions. • Lead architecture, configuration, and deployment of BMC Helix solutions. • Design and implement integrations with enterprise systems (e.g., identity management, service desks). • Troubleshoot complex issues across the full technology stack (application, database, network, OS, client). • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable, maintainable solutions. • Develop custom utilities and enhancements to extend BMC Helix capabilities. • Provide mentorship and knowledge transfer to internal teams. • Participate in beta testing, early access programs, and community engagement initiatives.
Qualifications: •
Experience: o 3+ years of BMC Helix/Remedy development experience. o 5+ years of hands-on experience with BMC Remedy/Helix platforms. o Proven track record in enterprise ITSM implementations and integrations. o Helix Digital Workplace Advanced 20.x and greater. o Helix Digital Workplace Catalog 19.x and greater. o Helix ITSM 19.x (Professional) and greater. •
Technical Skills: o Strong knowledge of BMC Remedy ITSM architecture, data model, workflows, and forms. o Experience with BMC Digital Workplace and Business Workflows. o Proficiency in troubleshooting across application, database, and infrastructure layers. •
Other: o Strong understanding of ITIL processes and service management best practices. o Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills. o bility to work well within a team. •
Preferred o Experience with BMC Innovation Studio. o Familiarity with BMC Remedy ITSM integrations. o REST API Experience is a big plus.
