Certification Specialist (Multifamily) at Asset Living Asset Living is a third-party management firm that partners with communities nationwide. Responsibilities
Assist with property program compliance requirements including timely annual certification processes and agency reports as assigned. Conduct applicant/resident certification interviews, gather eligibility documents and verifications, and submit files to the third-party auditor with a high level of accuracy for quick approval. Process certification files in a timely manner. Maintain professional communication with onsite staff, Portfolio Managers, and Compliance team members. Keep supervisor informed of work progress and potential issues, and suggest improvements. Update internal tracking systems in a timely manner. Provide timely responses to Community Director, Portfolio Manager, Compliance Specialist, and Compliance Director. Assist during initial qualifying processes for NEW construction lease-up properties, re-syndications, and acquisitions/rehab of existing properties as assigned. Overnight or air travel may be required; be flexible to adjust priorities and assigned properties. Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years experience with affordable housing programs and regulatory compliance in programs such as LIHTC, HUD (Project Based Section 8, Section 236, PRAC, 811 PRA), USDA-Rural Development (515), HCD, HOME Funds and Bonds. Experience with rent, income, and utility allowance adjustments and updates required. High School diploma or equivalency required; college degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience in property management. Affordable Housing/Tax Credit certification preferred (C3P, HCCP, HCP-E, COS, TCS, CPO, FHC, NAHP, NAHPe, SCHM, etc.). Valid driver's license, good driving record, current motor vehicle insurance meeting state requirements, and operable vehicle per policy. Proficiency in English (spoken, reading, and writing). Strong computer skills (MS Office, Google Apps, property management software, email, internet). Compensation
Salary Range: $36 per hour to $41 per hour.
