Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Site Safety Manager to serve in an owners representative capacity on a major construction or industrial project. This role is responsible for ensuring that all contractors and subcontractors adhere to safety standards, regulatory requirements, and project-specific safety protocols. The ideal candidate will act as a key liaison between contractors, promoting a culture of safety excellence and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Ensure all contractors and subcontractors adhere to safety standards and regulatory requirements. Serve as a key liaison between contractors, promoting a culture of safety excellence. Monitor and enforce compliance with project-specific safety protocols. Conduct safety audits and inspections to ensure adherence to safety management plans. Provide safety training and guidance to contractors and subcontractors.
Essential Skills
Minimum 57 years of site safety experience in construction, industrial, or manufacturing environments. Experience in an owners representative or client oversight role is highly preferred. Professional certifications such as CSP, CHST, or OSHA 30/OSHA 500 are a plus. Strong background in safety management and compliance. Expertise in construction safety and health & safety protocols.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure. Bachelors degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Work Environment
This is an onsite position within a large organization, offering the opportunity to work in an owner's capacity on major construction or industrial projects.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $59.00 - $59.00/hr.
