- FTE/Remote in NYC. Optomi, in partnership with a company that specializes in IT Solutions offerings, is looking to add a strategic Solutions Architect to grow their network and security business! The

Solutions Architect

will join a high-performing account team that is driving significant growth. This is not a hands-on keyboard engineering role. Instead, it is a strategic position that combines solution expertise with client engagement, business development, and account growth. You will complement a highly technical Solutions Architect on the team by focusing on

strategic discussions, executive alignment, and business outcomes . Working closely with account managers, pre-sales architects, and delivery leaders, you will help shape technology roadmaps, uncover opportunities, and build long-term client partnerships. This role is ideal for someone who started in engineering and has since moved into leadership, strategy, or client-facing solution designand who thrives on translating complex technology into business value. Although this role is primarily remote, the candidate must sit within a 90 minute radius of NYC to travel to client sites at times. Base pay range

$160,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr Responsibilities Partner with account managers and pre-sales teams to lead strategic conversations with clients. Develop and present high-level solution strategies across areas such as cyber security, hybrid cloud (compute, storage, private/public), networking, SD-WAN, wireless, and campus solutions. Build trusted advisor relationships with senior client stakeholders by understanding their business drivers and aligning technology solutions. Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and help expand presence across multiple client organizations. Support go-to-market initiatives with core infrastructure partners (Cisco, Palo Alto, VMware, Fortinet, Nutanix, NetApp, Pure Storage, and others). Act as a bridge between technical architects and business decision-makers to ensure alignment and clarity. Collaborate cross-functionally with internal architects, project managers, and leadership teams to deliver exceptional client outcomes. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience 10+ years of experience in technology architecture, solution design, or related client-facing roles. Previous experience working as a network engineer. Experience transitioning from hands-on engineering into leadership, solution strategy, or business development roles. Strong foundation in at least one solution area (e.g., cyber, hybrid cloud, wireless, or SD-WAN). Proven ability to operate effectively in executive-level client meetings. Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated success working with top technology partners (Cisco, Palo Alto, VMware, etc.). Polished, professional, and collaborativeable to thrive in a team-oriented, culture-driven environment. Ability to build trust and rapport quickly with clients and colleagues. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Comfortable balancing independence with collaboration in a fast-paced environment. Invested in shared success and aligned with a mission-driven culture. This is a full-time/direct-hire opportunity targeting a base between $160,000 - $200,000 with bonuses tied to sales (OTE) Seniority level
