Are you looking for a small-town lifestyle just 20 minutes from downtown Albuquerque? Do you have experience or want to work in a true, mixed animal practice? We are currently looking to hire Veterinary Assistants to join our team at Village Veterinary Hospital in Bosque Farms, New Mexico. Salary:
Starts at $16.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, certifications, licensure, and location. Schedule:
4/8's, plus 2 days per week. Hospital is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 8:30 am 5:30 pm, Thursday and Saturday 1/2 days 8:30 am 12 pm. Closed on Sunday and major holidays. Location:

With a deeply loyal clientele, this hospital is always busy and utilizes all associates to the highest level of their skills. Our clinic treats small animals (60%), large animals (40%), as well as emergencies. We offer full-service veterinary medical treatment, ranging from preventive medicine, dental cleanings, in-house laboratory, pharmacy, digital x-rays, digital ultrasound, house calls, and emergency surgical care. Who You Are: If you are that veterinary assistant who is looking for an exciting, no day ever the same, fast-paced, fun, energetic veterinary hospital then we look forward to hearing from you! 3 + years of veterinary clinical experience, as a veterinary technician or assistant Knowledge of industry tools and equipment Passion for working with large and small animals, and their owners Experience with proper animal handling and restraint for a variety of species Ability to perform nursing care in a hospital or ranch setting Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare Understands the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills Collect laboratory samples for urinalysis, cytology, bloodwork, fecal analysis Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments per doctor orders Anesthesia monitoring, pre-operative and post-operative surgical care Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures Diagnostic experience including digital radiology positioning Ensure a clean, safe and organized work environment What Makes Us Different: Referral program join our team, bring your friends, and get paid!
