About the Substation Electrical Engineer - Senior Engineer position

ControlPoint Technologies is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to provide project support within our Substation Protection and Controls Engineering team.

Candidates must have direct experience with Transmission and Distribution (T&D) Substation Projects. Ability to work within engineering design standards and quality programs specific to client needs and requirements. Project Management skills and ability to meet critical deadlines is required. Must be an outgoing team player with the ability to provide client confidence. Technical Responsibilities: Substation Electrical Engineering Substation Electrical One-Line, AC and DC Elementary, Wiring and Interconnection, Cable Schedules, Material Lists, SCADA and RTU Relay Protection Settings, Relay Control Settings, Relay Wiring Substation Engineering Substation General Arrangement, Control House Layout, Panel Design, Plans and Sections, Grounding, Lightning Protection, Conduit Layout, Material List, Construction Specifications Prepare calculations (grounding, lightning protection, AC/DC load studies, etc.) Support engineering and design related to Civil/Structural; including structural drawings, foundation drawings, foundation and steel calculations. Project Engineering Responsibilities: Project Engineering Project Planning, Organization, Estimating, Scheduling, Coordinating and Monitoring of work activities Client focus and customer service Support project scope development and estimates Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering Professional Engineering Licensure (PE) is preferred, will accept candidates with Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) on path to Professional Engineering licensure. Minimum of five (5) years' experience electric utility industry Experience in utility substation engineering with focus on electrical protection and/or physical aspects of design Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills Travel up to 10% may be required.
