Job Title: Project Manager/Estimator - Heavy Civil Construction
Overview We are seeking a skilled
Project Manager/Estimator
with experience in heavy civil construction. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience estimating and/or managing projects in
roadway construction, underground utilities, and excavation/earthmoving.
This role requires strong technical knowledge, organizational skills, and the ability to manage projects from bid through closeout.
Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate cost estimates and bid proposals for heavy civil construction projects.
Manage projects from award to completion, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and quality standards are met.
Coordinate with field supervisors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
Analyze project documents, specifications, and drawings to prepare take-offs and estimates.
Monitor project progress, costs, and schedules; implement corrective actions as needed.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience estimating and/or managing heavy civil projects.
Strong background in
roadway construction, underground utilities, and excavation/earthmoving.
Proficiency with construction management and estimating software.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
