In person Duties and Responsibilities As a Route Driver with FreshDirect, you'll play a key role in ensuring orders are delivered promptly and accurately - making a difference every day in the New York area.
•
Operate Company Vehicles Safely:
Drive a company vehicle responsibly, following all local, state, and federal driving regulations as well as company policies.
•
Deliver Packages Efficiently and On Time : Load and unload packages with care, ensuring prompt and accurate deliveries to customers.
•
Keep Vehicles Clean and Ready:
Keep the delivery van clean, organized, and fueled to support uninterrupted operations.
•
Drive-in All-Weather Conditions:
Safely operate vehicles and complete routes in various weather conditions.
•
Provide Exceptional Customer Service : Always represent FreshDirect with professionalism and a positive attitude. Deliver outstanding service, ensuring customer satisfaction even in demanding situations.
What We're Looking For
2 years of recent commercial truck driving experience. Valid NY driver's license (non-CDL). Commercial Driver's License
(CDL) is not
required. Safe driving record: ≤ 3 points, ≤ 1 accident, minimal suspensions. Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Flexible working weekends, holidays, mornings, or evenings. Comfortable using smartphones for GPS, routing & communication. Strong commitment to
Safety, Reliability, and Customer Satisfaction .
