Job Description (JD) Maintenance Technician (1st Shift)
Location: Twinsburg, OH Employment Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and repair die-casting machine cells, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and automated production equipment using PLC ladder logic (Allen Bradley SLC 500, PLC 5, ControlLogix). Program, diagnose, and modify ABB robots (M94, M98, M2000, M2600, M6700) to optimize performance. Perform electrical/mechanical repairs, welding (MIG/TIG), and machining tasks to minimize downtime. Conduct preventive maintenance (PMs) and interpret electrical/hydraulic schematics. Install, align, and relocate manufacturing equipment as needed. Maintain accurate repair logs and adhere to safety protocols (OSHA compliance). Qualifications & Must-Haves:
4+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in automotive/high-volume manufacturing (not warehouse/conveyor systems). Proficiency with: Allen Bradley PLCs (troubleshooting/modifying ladder logic). ABB robotics (positioning, diagnostics). Hydraulics/pneumatics and welding (gas/electric). Technical education (vocational certs or some college coursework in Industrial Maintenance/Mechatronics). Ability to read electrical/hydraulic blueprints and schematics. Preferred Skills:
Experience with die-casting machines (e.g., Oskar Frech, Buhler). Familiarity with CNC maintenance or CNC machining is a plus.
