Loyal Donor Officer

The Loyal Donor Officer is responsible for the stewardship, qualification, cultivation, and solicitation of deferred and charitable gift annuities from prospects and donors through phone, written and face-to-face meetings. They understand the basics of planned gifts, general fundraising practices, factors that influence donors, and the types of assets that may be used for the donor's giving and they apply that knowledge to interactions with donors and gift solicitations. They discuss assets proficiently and listen for opportunities for gifts of assets. They involve and engage appropriate partners in the field and staff within Global Development; they recommend prospects and donors for further cultivation and stewardship with other fundraisers as necessary. They manage donor and business unit outreach in partnership with Regional Gift Strategists and Gift Planning Officers in their regional team and work with the Philanthropic Planning Advisor team as needed. They will be required to use TNC's donor database for tracking donor conversations and metrics. The Nature Conservancy's mission is to protect the lands and waters upon which all life depends. As a science-based organization, we create innovative, on-the-ground solutions to our world's toughest challenges so that we can create a world in which people and nature thrive. We're rooted in our Mission and guided by our Values, which includes a Commitment to Diversity and Respect for People, Communities, and Cultures.
