The Data Platform Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data infrastructure and systems to support the organization's data needs. This role involves working with other stakeholders to ensure data availability, integrity, and security. The Data Platform Engineer will also optimize data workflows and processes to enhance performance and scalability.

Key Responsibilities: • Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes. • Develop, test, and optimize data architecture, including databases, warehouses, and cloud-based storage solutions. • Integrate data from multiple applications, APIs, and third-party systems. • Establish and enforce data quality standards, validation processes, and governance best practices. • Partner with business and technical teams to deliver data-driven solutions that enable scalability. • Research and apply emerging technologies in data engineering, AI/ML, and automation.

Required Skills & Experience • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, systems engineering, or related technical fields. • Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL/MySQL. • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes. • Familiarity with cloud data storage and infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Snowflake, or similar). • Understanding of data models, governance, and performance optimization.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience - Need to have been in a company for at least 3+ years since 2018. Even better would be if they've been promoted in that company. - Experience utilizing AI in their job - AWS Certification
