Responsibilities include: Conducting thorough patient assessments, including breath sounds and airway patency. Administering various respiratory therapies, including oxygen and aerosol medication delivery. Assisting with invasive procedures and managing mechanical ventilation. Monitoring patient responses and intervening when necessary. Transporting ventilator-dependent patients safely. Responding to emergencies and ensuring airway integrity during resuscitation. Qualifications: Valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license from the Texas Medical Board. Current RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care; CRT credentials are also accepted if grandfathered before July 1, 2002. Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 90 days of employment. Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of employment. RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner credentials. One year of experience is strongly preferred.
