CDL Driver for Heavy Equipment Transport
Responsibilities: Transport Goods, heavy equipment, and golf/utility vehicles: Operate large and medium duty trucks to transport goods between locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery. Vehicle Inspection: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is safe and operational. Loading and Unloading: Responsible for loading and unloading cargo, ensuring it is secured properly to prevent damage during transit. Route Planning: Plan trip logistics, including obtaining necessary documents and determining the best routes to take. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel expenditures. Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. Customer Interaction: Communicate with dispatchers, other drivers, and customers, providing excellent customer service during deliveries. Requirements:
Valid CDL: A valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A) is required. Experience with manual transmission required. Clean Driving Record: A history of safe driving is essential, with no major violations or accidents. Physical Stamina: Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy items and long hours of driving. Long Hours: You may work long hours, including overnight routes and extended trips. Independence: The role often involves working independently while on the road, with minimal supervision. Benefits:
