JOB SUMMARY
As an Certified Endoscopy Technician, you will assist the RN and physician with invasive diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures in the GI Lab. Ensures GI Lab procedure room is adequately prepared for procedures. Monitors PAR level of all endoscopic instruments and supplies. You will be responsible for cleaning and sterilizing all endoscopes, instruments and equipment
JOB DESCRIPTION Maintains endoscopic instruments and accessories in working order and consistently recognizes malfunctions and helps troubleshoot equipment. Able to assist in the procedure room by anticipating and responding to the equipment and supply needs of the physician. Sustains a clean and safe patient care environment, implements and follows infection control procedures according to the hospital policy. Follows unit policies regarding cleaning and disinfection of equipment. Responsible to set up procedure room by selecting appropriate equipment and supplies in a timely manner. Demonstrates knowledge of positioning to ensure safety for the patient during the procedure. JOB REQUIREMENTS
Vocational/Technical Diploma BLS 1-3 years experience
HOURS AND WORKING CONDITIONS Our ASCs is located in Orlando, FL. The ASCs is open Monday thru Friday with hours of operation subject to change, dependent on surgery schedule.
Hazards: Occasional contact with communicable diseases, electrical equipment, blood borne pathogens, etc. Personal protective equipment: Sterile OR scrubs and PPE are provided
