The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of duties to ensure the trailer manufacturing plant operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards. This role includes maintaining the physical structure of the facility, performing preventative maintenance on equipment, managing utility systems, and supporting manufacturing operations by reducing equipment downtime.

Part time 20 to 30 hours a week

Pay Range: $24 to $28 an hour

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine and preventive maintenance on plant equipment, tools, and facility systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical, compressed air, lighting, overhead doors).

Troubleshoot and repair facility-related issues including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Maintain and repair welding stations, cranes, air compressors, paint booths, ventilation systems, and other manufacturing support equipment.

Monitor building and grounds to ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper operation.

Work closely with production and safety teams to ensure facility and equipment meet health, safety, and environmental standards.

Respond to maintenance service requests in a timely and effective manner.

Maintain maintenance logs and records using manual logs.

Assist with setup and installation of new equipment and infrastructure as needed.

Ensure tools, parts, and maintenance inventory are properly stocked and organized.

Experience with automotive repair and forklift maintenance a plus. Willing to learn it also a plus.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; technical training or trade certification .

3+ years of experience in facility or industrial maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, welding, and mechanical repair techniques.

Basic computer skills for maintenance logging and communication.

Forklift and aerial lift certification (or willingness to obtain).

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.

Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs., climb ladders, and work in various plant environments (heat, dust, noise).
