is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our Pack as an Event Coordinator. Rave! Catering proudly employs experienced, certified chefs and catering professionals to provide the highest degree of service possible to ensure successful events.
Essential job duties include, but are not limited to: Recruit and interview prospective student and temp employees, along with promotional opportunities with current student employees Assist with the training process of all new temp and student employees Supervise the hiring team responsible for student recruitment Lead new hire orientation sessions for Rave! employees Create and manage new employee profiles in When2Work Conduct student feedback and performance reviews each semester Complete separation paperwork for students as needed When necessary, assist with staff scheduling for events Supervise events, when necessary, under the direction of the Senior Event Coordinator Other duties as assigned to ensure NC State Dining business needs are met. Position may be asked to assist in other locations as necessary.
Dedicated and experienced professional staff are available to provide on-the-job training and assistance so you become a successful member of the catering team. We offer flexible schedules and opportunities for learning, growth, and promotion. Superior work performance may provide an opportunity to renew employment and/or advance into a benefits-eligible permanent position. This is an hourly position that includes a state-required 32-day break at the end of 11 months.
NC State Dining
provides campus-wide food services to students, staff, and faculty on the North Carolina State University Campus. NC State Dining operates 11 cafes, 3 food courts and 6 dining halls, 3 markets, 2 restaurants, vending, a nutritional counseling service, and a catering department. The department employs approximately 1000 temporary and student employees and approximately 190 permanent EPS and SHRA employees.
Attend
non-revenue generating sporting events for free.

Requirements and Preferences Work Schedule Work Schedule Hours will vary depending on events, may include evening and weekends. Work as a cohesive team member and play an integral part in creating a positive work environment. Contribute to maintaining a Grade A sanitation rating of 95% or better. Able to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with customers, peers, and supervisors, and professionally communicate with multiple levels of employees within the university. Must follow written and verbal instructions. Provide outstanding customer service, including the ability to remain professional and respectful under pressure when dealing with difficult situations, to the team and customers. Demonstrated excellent organization skills. Accurate data entry and timely completion of data entry. Excellence in completing all tasks and performance goals. Must be able to professionally collaborate with colleagues and be part of a team environment. Requires bending, twisting, pulling, and pushing. Must be able to lift 30 pounds above the head and up to 60 pounds on rare occasions, with or without reasonable assistance. Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
