Currently seeking a skilled and motivated Pathologists' Assistant to join the highly regarded Anatomic Pathology team at a well renowned hospital located in the heart of Coachella Valley! What You'll Be Doing:
In this position, you'll work independently under the direction of board-certified pathologists, performing comprehensive
gross examination, dissection, and histologic sampling
of a wide range of surgical specimens-from routine biopsies to complex oncologic resections. You'll also assist with
autopsy procedures
and support
teaching efforts
for residents, fellows, and new Pathologists' Assistants.
Day-to-day responsibilities include: Grossing surgical specimens with a high degree of autonomy and accuracy
Assisting with evisceration and dissection during autopsies
Supporting and mentoring pathology residents and fellows in gross pathology techniques
Coordinating workflow and maintaining turnaround times for diagnostic reporting
Utilizing pathology information systems, dictation software, and electronic medical records for case documentation and QA
What We're Looking For:
Master's degree from a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists' Assistant program
ASCP certification (or eligibility) required
Strong knowledge of anatomic pathology practices and terminology
Skilled in communication, organization, and multitasking
Comfortable using EMRs and digital lab systems
