Co-op Software Engineer

Collins Aerospace is currently seeking qualified candidates for a co-op software engineer in our Business & Regional Avionics Flight Management Systems department located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Teams are composed of cross-functional engineers working in an Agile environment focused on the design and development of software-only products. Fusion FMS is our latest deployed Flight Management product, leveraging the latest in integrated avionics systems of our Pro Line Fusion product line to support a range of customers across a variety of platforms around the globe. Expectations include participating in a cross-functional team daily and coordinating regularly with engineering and project management to ensure success of the product and program. What You Will Learn

Learn software design, development, and verification for Collins ProLine Fusion Flight Management Systems. Understand the DO-178 process. Gain domain knowledge by contributing to software life cycle artifacts. Collaborate in a team environment and build your network. Qualifications You Must Have

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a bachelors or advanced degree in an applicable discipline. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidates work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
