Preparation for service

Check tables for proper set-up. (salt & pepper grinders, sugar caddies, table tents)

Do appropriate "opening" side-work

Help to arrange table layout

Restock the requisition delivery

Prepare side station with BB plates, water, coffee cups, ice tea / Arnold palmer, lemonade, Juices...

Participate in the pre shift meeting

Set-up side stations with the meal appropriate items. Coffee urns, water, breadsticks, etc...

During Service

Greet newly arrived guests

Set additional table settings if necessary

Take beverage orders, have the ability to talk about our wine list, and spirit selection

Bread stick service

Explain specials / promotions of the day

Being able to explain our menu; having knowledge of ingredients, common allergens, and preparation of each dish.

Take full accurate orders using "position numbers"

Have the ability to communicate with the kitchen for any modifications or special requests

Assisting the server assistant in running food always using seat numbers, and placing the dish with the "best bite forward"

Knowing the appropriate silverware to mark the table

Being responsible for coffee / tea service / re-fills throughout the meal

Clearing tables in appropriate fashion and using correct racks for glasses and stacking plates accordingly

Maintaining the look and cleanliness of the table

Pre-bussing all tables. Tables should be bare by the end of the meal

Assisting on re-setting tables

Keeping the restaurant clean and neat at all time during service including cleaning work / side-work

Closing of a shift AM and PM

Doing a minimum of 75 roll-ups, and 2 racks of glasses

Doing the assigned closing side-work

Replenish glasses, silver and china

Setting tables and stations for next meal period

Cleaning up the coffee and tea area

Cleaning up the back service area incl. coffee machine, ice tea ice bin,

Checking out with a manager before leaving the shift.
