The Business Architect for Global Quality and Regulatory plays a pivotal role in shaping and optimizing enterprise-wide business processes to support strategic transformation and operational excellence. This role partners with cross-functional teams to design scalable, service-oriented process frameworks that align with business goals, improve efficiency, and enable innovation. The Business Architect ensures that business capabilities, value streams, and workflows are clearly defined, integrated, and continuously improved to drive measurable outcomes across the organization. This is an onsite role located in 1420, Harbor Bay Parkway, Alameda, CA. This is not a remote role/opportunity. Core Job Responsibilities Business Architecture Strategy and Execution Develop and maintain comprehensive business architecture blueprints that articulate ADC's strategy, operational vision, and multi-year transformation roadmap. Design and implement business architecture frameworks that support digital transformation, operational efficiency, and customer journey excellence. Create and apply key business architecture deliverablesincluding capability models, value stream maps, customer journey maps, and system interaction diagramsto guide product teams in shaping minimum viable and marketable products. Provide strategic insights through business capability modeling and process mapping to inform investment decisions and drive business outcomes across the product lifecycle. Process Architecture & Optimization Design and maintain enterprise-level business process frameworks, standards, and governance models. Analyze and model current and future state business processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. Develop and maintain business capability maps, value stream models, and process documentation to support strategic planning and execution. Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to align process design with technology solutions and enterprise architecture. Strategy Enablement & Innovation Support business strategy formulation by identifying process capabilities required to achieve strategic goals. Facilitate workshops and design sessions to co-create innovative process solutions with business leaders and subject matter experts. Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to assess their impact on business processes and recommend adoption strategies. Business & IT Alignment Act as a liaison between business units and IT teams to ensure process requirements are accurately translated into technical solutions. Support solution architects and delivery teams by providing process insights and ensuring alignment with business objectives. Contribute to enterprise architecture governance by ensuring business process architecture is integrated into broader architectural views. Performance & Continuous Improvement Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for business processes to measure effectiveness and drive continuous improvement. Leverage data analytics and process mining tools to uncover insights and inform decision-making. Promote a culture of operational excellence through process standardization, automation, and best practice sharing. Minimum Education & Qualification Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred. 7-10 years of experience in business architecture, business analysis, process improvement or enterprise transformation roles. Proven experience in designing and optimizing business processes across multiple functions or domains. Familiarity with business architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, BIZBOK) and modeling tools (e.g., ARIS, Signavio, Visio). Strong understanding of business architecture, business process management (BPM), workflow automation, and enterprise systems integration. Preferred Qualifications Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare, life sciences, or finance. Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Exposure to enterprise architecture tools and methodologies. Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. The base pay for this position is $128,000.00 $256,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
