This
Senior Procurement Manager
role will lead the implementation, execution, and optimization of key programs supporting Electric Transmission Procurement.
This highly visible role is critical in enhancing operational efficiency, improving supplier performance, and fostering collaboration across internal teams and external partners.
This leader will manage complex vendor relationships, guide external partners, and coordinate closely with internal stakeholders to drive category strategy, demand planning, and long-term sourcing initiatives. Strong cross-functional collaboration with the Line of Business (LOB), Strategic Sourcing, and Materials teams is essential to ensure program success and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities: Serve as a recognized subject matter expert, representing PG&E in regulatory and industry forums. Lead high-impact, cross-functional programs and initiatives across the enterprise. Develop and monitor program goals and metrics aligned with company objectives. Align program efforts across departments through strategic collaboration. Leverage internal capabilities and resources to meet program goals. Organize and lead cross-utility project teams to influence regulatory and industry decisions. Solve complex and unique challenges, anticipating future issues and designing proactive, data-driven solutions. Drive alignment between procurement strategies and enterprise goals in partnership with stakeholders in Finance, IT, Operations, and Business Units. Embed data insights and industry best practices into business decisions and procurement operations. Minimum Qualifications:
Extensive experience (10+ years) in procurement, supply chain, strategic program management, or consulting roles. Background in Electric Transmission or related utility operations. Experience in leading Strategic Sourcing teams and managing $Billions$ in spend. Experiencebuilding or upgrading physical distribution networks (power lines, water pipelines, logistics hubs, new distribution centers) Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven interpersonal skills, with the ability to address challenges with diplomacy and tact. Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and executive leadership through data and strategic insights. Strong ability to translate business needs into strategic decisions and recommend operational enhancements. Experience leading large, complex procurement initiatives across an enterprise environment. Skilled at building compelling business cases with multiple inputs in dynamic environments. Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Business or a related discipline. Certifications in Project Management (PMP), Change Management (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR), or Lean Six Sigma.
