. Interested in joining us on our journey? As a Material Planner at Roper Corp, your role is heavily focused on managing raw and purchased component management. You will directly work with the supply base on timely shipment and receipt of material to support a high-speed manufacturing environment. The planner is also responsible for working with inbound transportation to track and coordinate Just in Time arrival of material. This position is 100% onsite. Position Material Planner Location USA, LaFayette, GA How You'll Create Possibilities Key Responsibilities: Material Planning & Coordination:

Manage material requirements to ensure part availability for production. Proactively identify and resolve issues in collaboration with suppliers.

Inventory & BOM Accuracy:

Lead and support activities that improve

inventory accuracy

,

BOM accuracy

, and

excess/obsolescence analysis

while supporting new model introductions and logistics planning.

Process & Logistics Improvements:

Contribute to logistics projects such as RWIP reduction, supplier capacity data collection and analysis, and returnable packaging enhancements.

Supplier Collaboration:

Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with current and new suppliers to foster effective partnerships.

Schedule & Supply Management:

Coordinate and manage schedule changes or supply shortages with the scheduling team to minimize impact on manufacturing operations.

Cycle Counting:

Assist with the cycle counting process to maintain precise inventory records.

Model Lifecycle Management:

Participate in phase-in and phase-out activities for model lines, ensuring part availability for successful launches and smooth discontinuations.

Continuous Improvement:

Develop and implement new processes to enhance supplier performance, reduce the need for expediting, and optimize inventory levels without causing production downtime.

What You'll Bring to Our Team Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree

in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

3+ years of experience

in supply chain management or a closely related discipline.

Working knowledge of

MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems

.

Preferred Qualifications Understanding of

manufacturing and supply-chain concepts

, including parts flow.

Strong

communication skills

, both verbal and written.

Proven ability to

prioritize and manage multiple tasks

in a dynamic environment.

Demonstrated

sound judgment, planning, and systematic problem-solving

skills to effectively collaborate with management, production teams, and suppliers.

Exceptional

interpersonal and relationship-building skills

, with the ability to guide teams toward achieving outstanding results.

Familiarity with the

appliance industry

or similar manufacturing environments.
