The Program Coordinator of SAP/Literacy reviews and processes all SAP appeals. They are responsible for monitoring student completion rates, GPA and program length. The SAP Coordinator monitors grades for financial aid recipients placed on conditional probation and is responsible for tracking SAP data and reporting SAP outcomes as requested. This position requires excellent customer service and communication skills as well as a mastery of complex regulations and professional judgement. Duties and Responsibilities

Independently manages the implementation, critical and direct oversight, and regulatory application components for SAP/ Literacy Interpret, articulate, and disseminate financial aid policies, procedures and regulations to students, parents and the public. Additional duties include determining aid eligibility, processing awards, and providing consultations to financial aid applicants and prospective student groups in person, by telephone, or by email. Maintain knowledge of verification requirements and tax return guidelines in order to accurately evaluate student awards, including helping students and parents resolve outstanding issues and obtaining required information and documentation. Manage and generate end of semester review of student grades to determine status of student Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress Standards Manage and generate communications to students regarding satisfactory academic progress standards, courses not required, lifetime eligibility, and developmental hours and other regulatory components of SAP. This includes the management and tracking of student satisfactory academic progress appeals, maximum time frame appeals, and unusual enrollment appeals. Responsible for the review of student enrollment for all students on an Academic Plan due to prior financial aid suspension or SAP Max issues to ensure correct award amounts. Determine and override complex and unique issues by exercising professional judgment and dependency overrides utilizing Department of Education policies and guidelines. Responsible for the review of Colleague generated reports of students enrolled in courses not required and adjustment of financial aid awards. This includes ensuring student awards are adjusted to reflect registration hours in conversion programs and compliance with course repeat regulations. Utilize advance project management skills to conduct complex program data analyses, generate analytical reports, and interpret dashboards for managerial decision-making. Certify and test the accuracy of the annual program setup for satisfactory academic standards/appeals module in Colleague, including communications management. Coordinates the assessment activities for financial aid literacy and default management. Monitors, maintains and/or improvers the college cohort default rate. Identifies and submits incorrect and uncorrected data challenges to the Department of Education. Send exit counseling letter/pamphlet to students who graduate. Assist with workshops and presentations to include financial literacy and other outreach activities. Serves as Backup for the Financial Aid Pell and Return to Title IV Coordinator. Adhere to the highest professional and ethical standards to maintain data confidentiality and integrity. Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements and Preferred Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in Business, Accounting or related field and at least 1 to 2 years or related work experience Additional Information
