POSITION OVERVIEW
As a
Plant Safety Manager
your roles and responsibilities will include:
Develop, implement, and continuously improve OSHA, NFPA, ANSI safety programs. Manage plant safety policies, procedures, and training programs. Oversee Workers' Compensation cases, light duty assignments, and reporting. Conduct hazard identification, audits, incident investigations, and root cause analysis. Control safety budgets for PPE, supplies, and first aid resources. Lead safety performance reporting and Management of Change (MOC) safety reviews. Serve as a hands-on safety leader on the plant floor. QUALIFICATIONS
Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Plant Safety Manager who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Plant Safety Manager would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:
5+ years in a Safety Management role, ideally in manufacturing/industrial environments. Knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, NFPA standards, and Workers' Compensation laws. Certified in First Aid, AED, CPR. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
