Board-Certified Pathologist(1099)

Pay rate:

$250.00 per hour (1099).

Duration:

1 year contract.

Work schedule:

The Pathologist will be scheduled to work Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, no weekends, holidays or overtime. Description:

Shall cover the range of Pathology and Laboratory services as would be provided in a state-of-the-art civilian medical treatment facility and the standard of care shall be of a quality, meeting or exceeding currently recognized national standards as established by the American Board of Pathology (ABPATH): American Board of Pathology (abpath.org). Shall be a board-certified Pathologist and will be given clinical privileges (credentialed) at the Milwaukee VAMC. The Pathologist shall have sufficient qualifications, training, and experience to provide high quality services in Anatomic Pathology. Responsibilities will include participation in Surgical Pathology. Meet turnaround time requirements for surgical pathology, or other cases as defined by VHA Pathology policy and performance measures. Qualifications:

Personnel assigned to perform the services covered by this task order shall have a full and unrestricted license in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia. Pathologist must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively apply all aspects of Anatomic Pathology Care for veterans. Personnel assigned to perform the services covered by this task order shall be proficient in written and spoken English. Must be computer literate as patient documentation is directly entered in the patient's electronic medical record. Pathologist shall possess a Medicine Degree (MD) or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. Pathologist shall possess a board certification in Anatomic Pathology from the American Society for Clinical Pathology. Pathologist must have a minimum of five-years of experience, which has ended within the past three years.
