Description

The Assistant Director of Admissions Operations works with the College's information systems to support the long- and short-term goals of the Office of Admissions Operations and the Department of Enrollment Management by creating and improving efficiency through process development and automation. The Assistance Director duties are broken into two main areas described below. Examples of Duties Systems, Application and Report Development:

Working in the college's ERP system, Banner, and the admissions CRM, Slate, the Assistant Director will use T-SQL, Pl/SQL, Oracle Application Express, Microsoft and Adobe production products to: Create, update and maintain applications and reports to analyze demographic, statistical and historical trend data on various populations, including, but not limited to prospective students, inquiring students, applicants, admitted students, deposited students, new enrolling, and currently enrolled students. Develop and maintain programs, processes, and mechanisms to conduct market and operations research including cost-benefit analysis. Build and modify reports, queries, dashboards, flow charts, graphs, and spreadsheets for internal campus wide, and external distribution. Collaborate with administrative computing team members and Institutional Research and Assessment to reconcile data between Banner and Slate for State reporting of admissions data. Support and utilization of the ARMS athletic database, ARGOS reports, Banner ERP, Constituo bridge, and Slate CRM system

Through constant communication with Enrollment Management staff, and other functional areas across campus, the Assistant Director will develop a thorough understanding of their business processes and the technology they use. Utilizing this knowledge, the Assistant Director will:

Facilitate the proper use of all Slate modules and Banner admissions modules. Ensure admissions ARGOS reports, and data feeds between systems are updated each cycle. Develop, support, and maintain data integration for a variety of software from internal and external applications and services using imports and exports between the Stale CRM, Banner ERP and other systems. Develop queries and reports for a variety of constituents and provide support by troubleshooting problems with the processes, databases and applications. Coordinate with Admissions, Registrar, Financial Aid, Finance and Accounting and others, including outside entities such as software service providers for upgrades and maintenance of the College's information systems ensuring that all interfaces are implemented and working properly. Tests and authenticates changes to the database, reports or other technical functions as required for the enrollment management team and others; Identifies and resolves data and coding issues. Maintain and troubleshoot nightly data feeds between software programs and database systems. Performs routine data validation and proofreading of reports (including weekly, annual, and ad-hoc reports). Stays abreast of electronic database enhancements and new features, and spearheads the implementation of new developments. Monitors database functions and automations to ensure they are in working order. Troubleshoots major and minor equipment and software malfunctions for department-wide and individual staff needs; investigates and solves problems, consulting with service providers as necessary.

Maintains functional awareness of all aspects of the Slate CRM, acts as backup for other Admissions Operations staff in their absence. Attends training as necessary, and represents Admissions Operations on committees, at various meetings, functions and other events.

Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in the appropriate area of specialization and two years of database management experience; or a bachelor's degree and four years of database management experience. Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in the appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience including proficiency in TSQL and PLSQL. At least one-year experience in a Higher Education setting, preferably an Admissions Office. Experience using a CRM, Slate in particular. Database management experience, experience with Ellucian Banner.
