Electrical Controls Engineering Manager

Pay range: $110-138K DOE

**This position is located in Syracuse, NY.

Position Summary

The Electrical Controls Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing the design, development and implementation of electrical and control systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, optimizing operational efficiency and driving innovation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

:

Supervise, mentor and develop the electrical and controls Engineering team. Oversee the design, development and testing of electrical systems and control solutions. Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align projects with business objectives. Ensure designs meet technical specifications, operational requirements, and compliance standards. Ensure all designs and installations comply with safety regulations and industry standards. Optimize resource allocation to meet project and organizational goals. Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency and implement innovative solutions. Provide expert technical guidance and troubleshooting support. Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and regulatory agencies. Improve processes and workflows by tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and taking corrective action as needed. Ensure all electrical and control systems comply with relevant national and international standards. Maintain accurate and detailed project documentation. Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Minimum of 5 years' experience in Electrical and Controls Engineering. Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role. Experience with AB and PLC programming/troubleshooting, SCADA systems, power distribution, automation, Rockwell RS Logix family of PLC and the FactoryTalk View Studio HMI software platforms for new equipment is required. Experience using electrical design software (AutoCAD, EPLAN, etc.) and additional relevant experience required. PMP Certification, Six Sigma, or equivalent is preferred but not required.
