The Assistant Director of Athletics will provide support to the day-to-day operations of the athletic department. In addition, the Assistant Director of Athletics will serve as advisor to the Student Athlete Advisory Board. The Assistant Director of Athletics will administer the student-athlete academic monitoring system and oversee the department's sports information program. This position will also serve as the main contact for athletics recruitment and will specialize in assisting prospective student-athletes and their families in navigating the admissions and enrollment process and introducing them to FLCC.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of three years' experience in intercollegiate athletics and coaching experience required; intramural experience, sports camp administration, and/or sport information preferred; Master's degree preferred. Experience: Experience with computerized student information systems, preferably Datatel, required. Computer skills required include Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Software. Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation skills, and communication skills (written and verbal). Strong organizational skills required with the ability to prioritize multiple demands and tasks. Ability to build collaborative relationships with students, faculty, staff, and other College stakeholders. Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule to accommodate evening and weekend demands. A clean valid New York State driver's license with the ability to gain clearance to drive college vehicles is required. Essential Functions
Create game schedules and schedule facilities for games and practices. Supervise athletics events in conjunction with the Director of Athletics. Assist with the development of recruiting and promotional materials for athletes in collaboration with the Director of Admissions, Athletic Director, and Marketing Office. Organize athletic department's community service efforts. Oversee the Sports Information Director and coordinate sports information efforts. Serve on the College's Student Intervention Team (SIT). Conduct and create programming to assist in and support student-athlete welfare. Schedule transportation for all away athletic contests. Promote post-season honors for outstanding student-athletes and coaches. Serve as the recruitment liaison for all intercollegiate athletic teams and provide recruitment support for the FLCC Athletics staff; track prospective student-athletes through the recruitment, admissions, and registration processes. Establish recruitment goals for each intercollegiate team in consultation with the head coach. Educate coaching staff on NJCAA recruitment rules and regulations and monitor compliance with NJ CAA rules and regulations in collaboration with the Director of Athletics. Serve as a Special Program/Cohort Advisor (SPCA) to student-athletes in all sports in alignment with the Advising Success Network: Monitor their class schedules for graduation requirements and special athletic needs, such as travel and practice times. Assist student-athletes in identifying transfer options to four-year institutions. Oversee the academic success plan for student-athletes. Coordinate various academic programming for student-athletes. Must be familiar with the NCAA Clearinghouse and transfer requirements. Assist student-athletes who have exhausted their eligibility in completing their degrees and assist with the transfer process. Oversee and coordinate student-athlete housing at the Suites at Laker Landing in collaboration with the Director of Housing and Residential Life. Plan and implement orientation workshops for all entering student-athletes who are freshman and transfer students. Assist in organizing and planning the annual athletic banquet. Oversee the purchasing of equipment and apparel. Perform other job related duties as assigned. Benefits and salary range:

Competitive starting salary in the range of $54,388 - $57,107 and is commensurate with qualifications NYS retirement or Optional SUNY Retirement Program SUNY Voluntary Savings Plan Comprehensive Health and Dental Insurance through Excellus BCBS FSA 21 days of annual leave, 12 sick days, and 13.5 holidays annually FLCC Tuition Waiver for employee and dependents Tuition assistance - 4-year institutions Special Notes:
