SCOPE OF ROLE :

The Support Services functions at S:US are carried out by a team of professionals with diverse backgrounds who share deeply in the S:US mission. We are a resource that provides support to the individual program departments to assist in the pursuit of our mission. The Electronic Health Record (“EHR”) Operations Department is looking for a detailed-oriented, organized, creative and technically savvy individual to join our EHR Operations Team as an Application Systems and Data Analyst I.

The selected candidate will report to the VP of Electronic Health Record Operations and will primarily be responsible for working on all aspects of the Agency’s electronic health records but may be called upon to learn other specialized software to serve as back-up to their colleagues on both the EHR Operations Team and the Information Technology Team.

Salary:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Software

Act as the principal contact between the Agency and software vendor to ensure optimal functionality of the software

Create new and deactivate old user accounts

Diagnose and trouble-shoot user issues

Review program workflows and evaluate features of specialized software to meet needs of the programs and increase efficiencies and effectiveness of software

Serve as primary and/or back up on other software supported by EHR Operations Team

Review software features with Quality Assurance Department to insure regulatory compliance

Training

Review, update and create training materials

Host in-person/remote live trainings

Train/support users

Reporting

Construct and run customized reports

Create data visualizations

KEY PERFORMANCE STANDARDS

Software –

Ability to learn and master new software quickly.

Effectively teach and support software. Understand the database so that customized reports can be developed. Create data visualizations for staff.

Problem-solving skills –

Ability to be creative and analytical. Examine issues and data and search for inconsistencies, reconcile inconsistencies and recommend then implement solutions.

Collaboration

– Work closely with Agency Staff to understand the needs, concerns and objectives of different Agency Departments. Integrate information from all sources and translate them into clearly defined, user appropriate, data systems or reports.

Communication skills –

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to translate complex situations/information into simple, meaningful explanations and/or discrete steps.

Interpersonal Skills –

Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.

Treat staff who possess lesser technical skills with respect and find the best way to help answer their questions so that they can be successful in their job duties.

Qualifications REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, human services or related field.

While experience in the field or a related field is preferred a recent college graduate with the appropriate credentials will be considered.

Proficiency with MS Excel, Word and Outlook.

Basic SharePoint skills.

Basic SQL, SSRS, SSIS, Java as evidenced by building databases, managing databases and reporting.

Basic programming skills

Tableau and/or Microsoft Business Intelligence

Experience with databases and report writing.
