We are currently seeking a

Maintenance Instrumentation Technician

for our

Moncure, NC location.

Reporting to the

Maintenance Supervisor

this position is responsible for providing instrumentation, automation, low power electrical and mechanical expertise to the manufacturing operation. This position is also required to maintain a knowledge base of automation systems and computer hardware/software packages for the implementation of automation in manufacturing processes and to provide assistance to the manufacturing site in the maintenance and development of general instrumentation and automated control systems for resin/formaldehyde and other processes in an effort to enhance overall productivity.

Job Responsibilities:

Install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance of electrical and instrumentation equipment. Repair and install fieldbus and 4-20 mA instrumentation, controls, control panels, and wiring. Perform calibrations on all types of industrial pressure, level, flow, and temperature devices per the documented schedules and maintains the records in a professional manner Replace switches, relays, transmitters, sensing devices, valves, and other faulty equipment. Participates in MOCs, PHAs, and functional description reviews. Advises Plant Engineer, Production Department supervisors, Plant Maintenance Team, and Corporate Automation Engineering of necessary instrumentation upgrades, modifications and work cooperatively to schedule these activities. Align plant site automation control systems with the Arclin quality control systems and software to ensure continuity of data Generates and maintains documentation associated with control systems such as ladder logic and wiring diagrams Job Qualifications:

1-3 years of related experience in an industrial facility environment or an equivalent mix of education and experience necessary to obtain journeyman level knowledge. Ability to read and understand piping and instrument drawings, loop drawings, specification sheets, electrical schematics, and logic diagrams. Ability to use electrical and electronic test equipment, hand tools, and power tools. Capability to climb stairs and ladders and lift up to 50 pounds. Capability to work in full personal protection equipment (PPE), air, respirator, suit, etc. Ability to work overtime, as needed, and available for call out overtime. Proactive, have a strong sense of time management, and show pride in workmanship. Possess strong troubleshooting skills, ownership and initiative in solving Instrumentation issues, and an ability to work independently when necessary. Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is an asset
