Harvesters mobilizes the power of our community to create equitable access to nutritious food and address the root causes and impact of hunger. Volunteers serving in Harvesters Volunteer Engagement Center (VEC) sort and repack food, which assists Harvesters in feeding more than 226,000 people each month. Volunteer tasks are assigned based on product availability and project prioritization. Regular opportunities include: Sorting fresh produce Sorting and boxing bread Packing Senior Commodity Food Boxes For safety reasons, all volunteers must be at least 12 years of age. Volunteers under 16 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please note, all volunteer shifts close for online registration 24 hours in advance of the shift start time. Groups of 5 or less do not need a reservation code and are welcome to sign up as individuals for any available shift.
